purpose of the job:

to increase traffic to the store in order to gain sales growth, to encourage new customers to shop with us and existing customers to shop more frequently, thereby converting them into loyal, long-term customers. Local marketing specialist does this by understanding its primary market area (pma) and using this knowledge, together with the national marketing/media strategy to develop a store marketing action and catalogue distribution plan. This brings the ikea offer to the local market in ways that will establish ikea as the leader in life at home and to be the first choice for home furnishings in all core areas of the home. You will do this through your passion and understanding of peoples’ life at home, the ikea concept and ikea culture

responsibilities:

  • implementation of a local marketing action plan for the store based on country marketing plan and local potentials;

complete analysis of the pma, consumer data, income levels, infrastructure etc. Using both internal (calypso, vcs, brand capital, icss and other researches) and external sources;
support of catalogue distribution plan, coordinate and control distribution process, follow-up the results of distribution;
development, implementation and coordination of local advertising and promotional activities by:

  • securing guidelines implementation when it comes to marketing communications and local activities;
  • organising events with supervision of external vendors (including agencies, promoters, local media);
  • implementation of marketing activities in mega shopping centre;
  • making follow-ups of activities;

support of ikea family loyalty program by:

  • increasing awareness, recruitment and identification rate;
  • securing data completeness and accuracy;
  • analyzing ikea family database and applying of analysis results to adjust marketing activities;
  • supporting and providing content to ikea family direct communication (sms, newsletters);
  • securing implementation of ikea family guidelines in the store when it comes to co-worker training, in-store communication, member offers, workshops;
  • maintaining store internet page and leaflets layouts.

requirements:

  • strong interest in marketing area, ability to quickly develop knowledge of the local market and business conditions
  • interest in home furnishing as well as a curiosity about people’s life at home
  • good analytical, numerical and organizational skills
  • ability to prioritise and organise own work in order to make the most efficient use of time available
  • self-reliant and motivated with proven ability to work as part of a team as well as independently
  • understand profit and loss and how to affect its result through their actions
  • good communication skills

  • computer proficient, including graphical software
